It is rare to see a faceted opal as most opals are typically cut as a cabochon. The is a genuine yellow opal that was mined in Brazil, hence the name Amazon yellow opal. It is a 7x9 bezel-set in 14kt yellow gold. It measures ½" from the top of the bale and weighs approx. 0.6 grams. The bale can accommodate a large chain.
