This is a very sturdy Single Bed with Sofa, pull out single guest bed, Storage, Desk and Bookshelf underneath. It can be configured so the ladder is on the other side. I only did it this way because we have a build in wardrobe on the other side so I couldn't fit it in. The rail and rubber foot mats on the ladder are very pale pink but my son (11) has never noticed!. They could be sprayed or the rail replaced to make it unisex. The purple cover has an ink mark and I have replaced one of the mattress struts. Similar units can be viewed online, this company has an excellent track record.
