Firewood! Seasoned…?

A little background information on our firewood…

The firewood we have is from a tree that fell a year ago. It is not from a recent storm. It was split on Dec 6th. So the wood is dry but not kiln-dried like you get at the supermarket. This can be a good thing though. The supermarket style wood burns bright and fast. Our wood takes a little effort to get going but burns longer since it still has a bit of moisture in it. Our GS mom burned some one weekend in her fireplace and said it worked out well though. She used some of her drier wood, and paper/cardboard to get it going with our logs on top. The logs burned longer and slower than her super dry wood. Smoking was not an issue.

You can pick up any time at either location, FH Starling or Plant City, near the new Dollar General. We plan to delivery on Saturday mornings so the girls can help. If you need your wood sooner, please let us know and we will work it out.
