This stunning piece was produced in the 1960s and 1970s, and was made by reproducing a world map that was originally illustrated by a cartographer called Peter Schenk the Elder (1645-1715).

This map is made with 24k gold leaf and features different maps from different vantage points across the globe. It also has astrological maps, lunar phases, and even illustrations from Copernicus, as well as other astronomers.

The map is custom framed in black and is quite large, with the height measuring roughly 24.5-inches. The length of the frame is just under 21-inches.
